About The Position

The Buildings Division provides design services to both public agencies and private corporations. Current projects include public transit terminals and transportation maintenance facilities; municipal buildings such as public work facilities; and light commercial / retail. Other potential projects include correctional facilities, law enforcement, public health, and both K-12 and higher education buildings.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have skills with AutoCAD, REVIT, Hydraulic Calculations, specification writing, familiarity with applicable building codes, cost estimating and other mechanical engineering tasks.
  • Candidate will have an Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or credential such as CPD (Certified in plumbing design).
  • Successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 year's relevant experience designing wide variety of facilities for industrial, educational, institutional and governmental projects.
  • The experience should be with all of the systems associated with Plumbing design including Sanitary, Storm, Domestic Water, Natural Gas.
  • Good planning, organizational and communications skills are necessary for success in this position.

Nice To Haves

  • LEED AP, CPD, or PE certifications are preferred but not required.
  • MA PE is preferred but not required.
  • Fire Protection Wet/Dry/Pre-action Sprinkler systems and Fire Standpipe systems would be a plus.
  • Focused experience with industrial projects, state agency projects, and/or local municipal projects is a plus.
  • A candidate with strong REVIT skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting, Supervising or mentoring team members and delivering timely feedback and recognition to others.
  • Maintain strong client relations as it pertains to project deliver and repeat business.
  • Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
