About The Position

The Senior Plumber serves as a subject-matter expert within the plumbing team, performing advanced plumbing work while providing technical guidance and training support to less tenured plumbers. This role ensures all work meets local, state, and federal codes, follows safety standards, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. The Senior Plumber plays a key role in troubleshooting, quality assurance, and supporting efficient project execution.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as a licensed journeyman plumber
  • Active plumbing license and a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Completion of a state-sponsored plumbing apprenticeship program
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional college education is a plus
  • Strong ability to assess customer needs and communicate technical solutions clearly and confidently
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Must own and maintain the necessary tools to perform plumbing tasks
  • Willingness and ability to travel within a 75-mile radius
  • Advanced plumbing knowledge and technical expertise

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead on complex plumbing tasks, providing hands-on expertise, troubleshooting support, and guidance to team members as needed
  • Evaluate each household’s unique plumbing needs and clearly communicate professional recommendations to help customers make informed decisions
  • Support workflow efficiency by identifying material needs, coordinating with team members, and helping keep projects on schedule
  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with applicable local, state, and federal codes and regulations
  • Perform and assist with plumbing inspections and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Provide ongoing skills training, coaching, and knowledge sharing with apprentices and less-experienced plumbers
  • Model and promote safe work practices while reinforcing company safety standards
  • Maintain current licenses, certifications, and required credentials, and encourage compliance among peers
  • Respond promptly and professionally to the needs of internal teams and external customers
