About The Position

As a Senior Platform Engineer, your core responsibility will be to support and enhance Pondurance’s MDR Data Pipeline. You will focus on enhancing the durability and reliability of our HashiCorp-based, containerized Vector endpoints and the systems that deploy them.
You’ll be part of our Platform Engineering team, which brings together a broad range of technical expertise. We’re looking to add a DevOps-focused skill set, while also offering opportunities to contribute beyond the high-level responsibilities outlined in this posting as our environment continues to grow.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in Platform, DevOps, Infrastructure, or SRE roles
• Strong proficiency in Linux systems administration across cloud and on-prem environments
• High level of competence with Terraform and CI/CD tooling
• Hands-on experience managing Docker-based and containerized systems
• Solid understanding of monitoring, alerting, and dataflow management
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Python and Shell
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Slack, and Google Workspace
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert for our GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Nomad–based CI/CD pipeline that deploys containers into customer environments
• Own and maintain the self-service deployment mechanisms for our platform frontend using GitHub Actions and Nomad
• Manage system and application configuration using Salt and HashiCorp tooling
• Oversee and maintain Docker-based systems to ensure reliable deployment and management
• Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and dataflow solutions using Datadog
• Participate in on-call rotations and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support knowledge sharing and team efficiency
