About The Position

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Platform Blockchain Engineer to join our pioneering team as an Equity Co-Founder at the forefront of native blockchain execution. At Autheo, we are building the platform that redefines decentralized computation, delivering sub-microsecond execution speeds, billions of transactions per second throughput, and mathematically proven security against adversaries. You will own the core Layer 0 / Layer 1 blockchain stack: consensus, distributed ledger, dynamic sharding, cross-chain bridges, and DePIN integration – pushing beyond 50B+ TPS global throughput with sub-millisecond finality and full resistance to nation-state attacks, while enabling seamless interoperability with Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot, Cosmos and 20+ ecosystems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building production Layer 0 / Layer 1 blockchains in Rust and/or Go
  • Multiple mainnet launches with ≥10M TPS real-world throughput
  • Deep expertise in DAGs, BFT variants (Tendermint, HotStuff, Narwhal/Bullshark), sharding, and formal verification (TLA+, Coq)
  • Hands-on post-quantum cryptography integration into consensus
  • Proven track record shipping cross-chain interoperability (IBC, XCM, or equivalent) at scale

Nice To Haves

  • Former core contributor to Cosmos SDK, Substrate, Solana, Aptos, Sui, or Avalanche
  • First-author papers at top distributed systems or cryptography venues
  • Patents in consensus, sharding, or post-quantum blockchain primitives

Responsibilities

  • Architect and ship next-gen DAG + BFT hybrid consensus achieving 50B+ TPS and <500 μs probabilistic finality
  • Design dynamic sharding system scaling linearly across 10,000+ validator nodes with zero-downtime re-sharding
  • Build temporal weighting, verification pools, and entropy-based leader selection that eliminate Sybil and grinding attacks
  • Implement tuple-based state model and n-tier execution layers for unlimited horizontal scaling
  • Embed NIST FIPS 203–206 post-quantum cryptography (ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA) directly into consensus and networking
  • Deliver production cross-chain bridges supporting 5M+ TPS asset transfers and message passing
  • Formally verify liveness, safety, and double-spend resistance using TLA+ / Apalache
  • Drive open-source SDKs and tooling that become the default for sovereign chain deployment
  • Publish novel consensus and sharding breakthroughs at Devcon, Consensus, SBC, ICDCS
  • Keynote at Devcon 2026 on “50 Billion TPS Layer 0 at Sub-Millisecond Finality”
