About The Position

We’re looking for a dynamic, hands-on Plant Controller to take full ownership of our accounting operations. In this onsite role, you’ll do more than manage numbers—you’ll be a key business partner, driving accuracy and insight across the organization. From leading month-end close to providing critical product and cost analysis that supports operations, you’ll have a direct impact on our success. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise matters. You’ll report directly to the General Manager of Gables Engineering and collaborate closely with HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group VP of Accounting & Finance—giving you visibility and influence at multiple levels.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Expert knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Technical proficiency with ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Credentials: CPA and/or CMA in good standing, plus a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of progressive financial management, including cost accounting in a manufacturing setting.
  • Attributes: Integrity, responsiveness, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and ERP implementation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with executive management in the establishment of comprehensive business and financial strategies for the organization’s various functional areas of responsibility.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to Gables’ internal and external customers, including the other departments at Gables and to the parent company, HEICO Corporation.
  • Prepare the weekly forecast report as well as the annual budget, and identify the trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Analyze product/job cost trends and operational performance and determine potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Support the Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining appropriate credit limits based on risk and in accordance with HEICO’s policy.
  • Review incoming customer orders and evaluate based on HEICO’s revenue recognition policy.
  • Manage inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress, and finished goods at month-end.
  • Oversee Gables’ cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Perform the review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory in accordance with Gables’ policy.
  • Assist with the development of the accounting reports and functionality of the company’s enterprise resource planning software, IFS
  • Assist with the implementation of appropriate financial and IT controls to ensure compliance with HEICO’s 404 SOX requirements.
  • Provide financial, administrative, and operational support, particularly in the areas of cost and inventory control as well as process improvement.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Accounting team, ensuring alignment with company and HEICO values.
  • Ensure local tax and regulatory filings and compliance.
  • Other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
