About The Position

The Business Relationship and Project Management Senior Planning Analyst will support the objectives of the Business Relationship and Project Management team, focusing on the development of solid oversight and reporting tools to advance procedural and budgeting rigor within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management.
  • Master's Degree and 2 years' experience in managing projects, developing applications, and/or financial/budgeting management.
  • Experience in Azure DevOps environment.
  • Experience in project management techniques or SDLC.
  • Experience in project management applications/software (Project, Primavera, etc.).
  • Capable of working independently or with a team.
  • Passionate problem solver.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Serve on the organizational team responsible for the administration of budgeting and financial matters, project management oversight, and fostering strong relationships with business partners.
  • Support the Business Relationship Manager role in building connections with internal IT stakeholders and assisting with new project intake including development and implementation of technology roadmaps.
  • Support development and ongoing maintenance of IT project intake application, synthesizing user feedback to develop a plan for app improvements.
  • Support sound project management through understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) procedures, IT Capital Project Management Procedure, and the IT Project Management Guide.
  • Lead change management for organization and individual projects, including developing training, outreach and communication materials.
  • Assist with the management of the IT BSD OMS Director level portfolio and roadmap for both Con Ed and Orange & Rockland capital and O&M projects.
  • Assist PMO efforts in creating, reviewing, and updating project plans including interdependencies, deliverables, project timeline, and other criteria.
  • Support the departmental budget through financial management, guiding systems managers with tasks such as rate case preparation and capital budgeting.
  • Provide analytical support through the development and administration of reporting that provides a cohesive view of department performance.
  • Collaborate with financial planning teams and other organizations to update monthly budgeting, variances, and other financial requirements.
