About The Position
The Senior Planner with the Project Selection and Programming Team in the Transportation Department of the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) will assist the Program Manager or lead various activities pertaining to the programming and selection of projects funded through the H-GAC Metropolitan Planning Organization's Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This includes, but is not limited to, activities supporting the development of the TIP and 10-Year Plan, monitoring and programming federal funding, conducting the Project Selection Process, managing the transportation project database, overseeing amendment processes for the TIP and Regional Transportation Plan, coordination regarding the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), and coordinating with staff across multiple departments of the Houston-Galveston Area Council.
