Department: Parks + Rec Grade: 250 Salary: $31.58/hour Job Duties: R esponsible for managing the County’s Rock Island Corridor (RIC) and performing professional park and land management, construction and development, and park/facility short- and long-range planning duties. Plans, schedules, organizes, manages, and supervises park, recreational, open space, and multi-modal site and facility projects, and provides responsible, quality, technical staff assistance for the Parks + Rec Department and related work as required.. M anages trail projects and programs; supports other parks and recreation planning and development initiatives; researches, reviews, and presents data and materials both internally and externally on County initiatives, programs, and projects. R esearches expenses and revenues and develops annual operating and project budgets. Attends and engages in public meetings, workshops, coordinates work of consultants and project partners; develops coordinated construction schedules; monitors progress and inspects contract construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, departmental standards and building codes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in Parks and Recreation Administration/Management, Public Administration, Community and Regional Planning, or Project Management with Five (5) years of related work experience, or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering and related work experience.
  • Must possess/maintain valid Driver's License.
  • Must submit to/pass pre-employment background and drug screen.

Responsibilities
