Our team in the US is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to join our Global Consulting Pipelines Business line in the Denver office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Mining, or similar Engineering field.
  • 8-10 years of previous experience working in an engineering consulting firm, production facility, or similar environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving hydraulic engineering problems.
  • Experience in hydraulic design of water and slurries pipelines and open channels - conceptual, basic and detailed engineering.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of hydraulic systems.
  • Experience in pipeline operation and maintenance.
  • Experience in pipeline testing and commissioning.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Advanced user level in MS Office programs.
  • Power BI user level.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Good organization skills, attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
  • Proven team player committed to support the requirements of project groups.
  • Ability to work in the office or a hybrid 3 office days and 2 home days format.
  • Willingness to travel (10 to 20%).

Responsibilities

  • Guarantee the right approach and accuracy of calculations for designing slurry and water pipeline systems, including appropriate materials selection and equipment sizing, ensuring compliance with all technical and safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct critical analysis of modeling and fluid dynamics simulation results for pipeline systems.
  • Guarantee that the engineering documents produced by the hydraulic team, such as calculation reports, specifications, data sheets and operation manuals are good quality and fit for purpose.
  • Conduct cost analysis for pipeline projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose safety measures to prevent accidents and environmental hazards.
  • Support the hydraulic team on pipelines operation monitoring, data analysis and performance evaluations helping them identify and address any issues or optimize pipeline efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver executive and technical presentations.
  • Carry out field visits and surveys.
  • Take the discipline lead role, manage project requirements and collaborate with other engineering areas on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to identify service scope opportunities and prepare robust proposals.
  • Overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of pipeline systems.
