The Dow Coating Materials Process R&D organization is responsible for the synthesis, scale-up, process development, and plant support for products across the Acrylic Emulsion Network. In this role, you will utilize process knowledge and operations experience to safely and proficiently operate a pilot-scale reactor for process development, scale-up, and plant support of emulsion polymers. You will also be tasked with supporting the facility, including (but not limited to) performing other unit operations, completing preventative maintenance tasks, setting up experimental apparatuses, and executing scientific studies. You will use your prior related experience to be effective in this role. You will possess a safety-first mindset and a high ethical standard to communicate your experimental findings to internal stakeholders. It is required to have some level of technical and equipment skills to follow the established and approved work processes. You will work with other team members to efficiently anticipate and resolve unplanned events and escalate issues that cannot be resolved.
