The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus is looking for a Senior Outpatient Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries. This position will be assigned to the Outpatient Orthopedics Clinic Setting. Provide quality patient care, evaluation, assessment and treatment appropriate for patients with complex or specialized needs. Assignment will involve primarily adults in an outpatient setting. Participate in the development of innovative clinical teaching activities to meet the learning needs of staff and students. Perform routine and assigned administrative tasks in an efficient manner and demonstrate innovative problem-solving approaches. Provides divisional and departmental leadership by: Collaborating on special projects and assisting management as necessary. Participating in clinical research and maintaining a high level of clinical productivity. Providing educational experiences to staff and students. Serving as a clinical resource. Demonstrating the ability to set and accomplish divisional/departmental goals. Identify opportunities, monitor and participate in quality/process improvement activities and recommend corrective actions for effectiveness. Performs special projects and tasks as assigned. Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the public. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in a variety of situations while producing results. The new University of Iowa Health Care North Liberty Campus opened in the Spring of 2025. This 469,000 square foot facility is home to UI Health Care’s nationally recognized Orthopedics service line, offering comprehensive, coordinated, and accessible care across the outpatient, inpatient and surgical venues.
