About The Position

At Riot Games, we’re committed to creating a safe, secure, and trusted environment where Rioters can do their best work—and where our offices, studios, and events operate reliably at global scale. The Physical Security Systems & Technology Program Manager III will lead the strategy, architecture, and execution of Riot’s physical security technology ecosystem, with deep expertise in Genetec Security Center (Synergis/Omnicast) and integrated enterprise security platforms. This role reports to the senior leader for Safety & Security and partners closely with Workplace/Facilities, IT, Privacy, Network Engineering, Legal/Privacy, Procurement, and our guard force and integrator partners.

Requirements

  • Genetec certifications (strongly preferred): Genetec Security Center Certified (or higher), with direct experience in Synergis and Omnicast.
  • Strong understanding of networked security systems (VLANs, PoE, bandwidth planning, storage redundancy, system hardening).
  • Experience integrating ACS/VMS with identity systems (SSO/IdP), HRIS provisioning, visitor management, and/or building systems.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations for physical security tech (credential hygiene, patching, segmentation, logging, vendor access governance).
  • Certifications a plus: PSP, PMP, CISSP (or equivalent).
  • Ability to support after-hours work for critical cutovers, outages, or high-impact deployments.
  • Willingness to travel periodically to Riot sites and projects.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, high ownership, and strong judgment with sensitive data and investigations.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience delivering and operating enterprise physical security systems (ACS/VMS) in corporate, campus, or mission-critical environments.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Genetec Security Center in enterprise environments (design, deployment, administration, troubleshooting).
  • Experience leading multi-site deployments, vendor delivery, and systems standards in a complex organization.

Responsibilities

  • Security Technology Leadership (Genetec-centric)
  • Own the end-to-end architecture, design, and evolution of Genetec Security Center, including:
  • Access Control (Synergis): badge provisioning workflows, role-based access design, secure area zoning, schedules, anti-passback (where applicable), and auditing.
  • Video Management (Omnicast): camera standards, coverage design, retention policies, archiver strategy, video health monitoring, and incident support.
  • Alarms & event automation: alarm routing, event-to-video workflows, guided operator response, and tuning for signal quality (alert fidelity).
  • Define the integration strategy for the ecosystem (e.g., visitor management, HRIS/identity, elevators/turnstiles, intercoms, LPR, intrusion sensors) with a focus on reliability, governance, and scalability.
  • Project Delivery & Deployment
  • Lead full lifecycle security technology projects across offices, studios, and specialized spaces—from requirements and scope definition through vendor selection, implementation, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Partner with Workplace/Facilities and low-voltage teams on design reviews (drawings, coverage plans, cabling, closets, PoE/network requirements, power/UPS, and labeling standards).
  • Develop repeatable deployment playbooks that reduce one-off builds and drive consistent outcomes across regions.
  • Operations, Support, and Continuous Improvement
  • Act as the technical escalation point for Genetec troubleshooting and system performance, including:
  • reader/camera outages, misconfigurations, performance degradation, licensing, storage/retention issues, and integrations.
  • Establish preventative maintenance standards (patching/firmware strategy, health checks, spares strategy, lifecycle refresh plans).
  • Build and maintain measurable KPIs (uptime, incident response enablement, alarm quality, access anomalies, audit integrity).
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance
  • Author and enforce global standards for ACS/VMS (coverage minimums, retention, privacy by design, access controls, auditing, encryption/segmentation where applicable).
  • Partner with Legal/Privacy and HR on appropriate use, investigations support, and compliance needs (e.g., GDPR/CCPA and local CCTV requirements).
  • Ensure vendor and integrator work meets Riot’s security, documentation, and change-control expectations.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage integrators, installers, and managed service partners; own technical acceptance criteria, documentation quality, and commissioning sign-off.
  • Translate technical risks into clear options for non-technical stakeholders and drive decisions aligned to Riot’s long-term strategy.

Benefits

  • Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules.
  • We offer medical, dental, and life insurance, parental leave for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and children, and a 401k with company match.
