About The Position

The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive - Specialty leverages targeted geographic analysis, engages with Physician offices to influence key decision makers to route patients' specialty drug prescriptions to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy for fulfillment. The Senior Pharmacy Sales Executive - Specialty focuses on increasing orders to CenterWell Specialty Pharmacy, resulting in increased prescriptions and revenue. Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience working in outside sales with documented success.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible, dynamic personality who works well in a team environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partnering business segments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Must be comfortable with being in the field 5 days/week within territory lines, and occasional overnight travel as needed.
  • Must live within the defined sales territory or willing to relocate at your own expense.

  • Previous Sales experience with documented success of meeting/exceeding goals.

  • Experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM tool.
  • Bachelor's degree -OR- Equivalent Experience.
  • Specialty Pharmacy or Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a sales territory that covers Kansas City, and expands outwardly east and west, from Wichita to MO.
  • Build relationships with front and back-office staff by conducting sales calls within the territory.
  • Provide staff education and information on options for patient use of Specialty Pharmacy medications.
  • Be a knowledgeable resource regarding specialty pharmacy medications and Humana pharmacy benefits.
