Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Pharmacy Technician license in good standing, in any state
  • 3+ years of Pharmacy-related or quality related experience
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a 40-hour work week Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in Pacific or Mountain standard time zones

Nice To Haves

  • CPhT National Certification
  • Experience in managed care pharmacy (Pharmacy Benefits Manager, Medicare Advantage)
  • Experience using EMR systems
  • Knowledge of Medicare part D
  • Ability to recognize potential drug discrepancies and barriers to adherence
  • Knowledge of HIPAA
  • Demonstrate accuracy, timeliness, organization and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Understand pharmacy related quality reports and identify areas for intervention and improvement (e.g. medication claim reversals, medication adherence, etc.)
  • Maintain payer resources
  • Educate and assist patients with payer resources relevant to medication adherence barriers (e.g. financial assistance, educational materials, measuring details, etc.)
  • Coordinate with outpatient pharmacies to ensure members receive prescriptions timely and assist with prescription refill requests
  • Conduct telephonic patient outreach to educate on medication adherence opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental objectives
