About The Position

At Travelers, our Print Center Operations teams ensure the reliable operation of a variety of printers, inserters, finishing, or mail processing machines in the Output Processing Center. Through the prioritization of operations and workflow, this team ensures the efficient use of processing equipment and other resources across the enterprise. As a Team Lead, Print Center, you will perform and lead operator activities related to Print, Mail, Presort, Supply and Special Processing operations and problem resolution. In this role you will understand all the aspects of the Print center to achieve overall team goals. This position is based full time in our Norcross office. This is a worksite essential position which requires that all duties are performed at a Travelers office or sanctioned offsite location. The shift hours are from 11:30pm-8:00am.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Able to work independently
  • Three years of experience within a Print Center environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to lift and carry weight up to 50 lbs. regularly

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of experience within a Print Center environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience operating Xerox high speed monochrome and color cut sheet printers.
  • Experience operating Gunther/Bell & Howell inserter equipment.
  • Experience with NPI folded mail sorter.
  • Warehouse/Stock experience including operating power jacks.
  • Familiar with USPS postal regulations.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Intermediate level computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily distribution of workload, equipment and technologies ensuring all schedules and/or Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) are met.
  • Work with management on daily tasks and key projects as assigned that will achieve overall team goals and the success of business initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to team in accurately assessing and understanding daily workload and works with sense of urgency to satisfy those needs within production time frames.
  • Maintain a complete involvement and understanding of all areas within the Print Center, monitor and manage projects to ensure timely assignment and completion of work and organize and interpret data reports.
  • Monitor and manage equipment issues and works with management and vendors to resolve.
  • Work with vendor service personnel and vendors to resolve more complex issues including orders, deliveries, and product exceptions and escalation as appropriate to supervision.
  • Operate equipment when necessary.
  • Acts as a role model to others in support of the corporate culture.
  • Provide training and coaching to new operators and direction/guidance within the existing team.
  • Provide input to Manager for team performance appraisals.
  • Serve as backup during Manager’s absence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
