About The Position

Grindr (NSYE: GRND) is the largest LGBTQ+ Social App in the world, used by over 14M+ monthly users in nearly every country in the world. We are a fundamental part of the global LGBTQ+ community and are a pillar in gay culture. As we continue to build out the Global Gayborhood in your pocket, we are committed to providing a safe and trusted platform for meaningful connection, taking into account the particular safety needs of the community we serve. We're looking for a People Partner with a strong HR generalist foundation to support our growing teams and managers. This role will lead core People programs - from employee relations to performance management and manager enablement - ensuring we have consistent, fair, and human-centered practices across the organization. You'll act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, helping them navigate complex people matters, strengthen team effectiveness, and build great workplaces across Grindr. The ideal candidate thrives in both coaching and execution, balancing hands-on partnership with thoughtful program design.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience, with deep grounding in generalist or HRBP work.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, performance management, and manager coaching.
  • Skilled communicator and relationship-builder - you earn trust quickly and influence thoughtfully.
  • Experience designing or rolling out people programs and policies in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment, empathy, and discretion when handling sensitive issues.
  • A bias toward action, with comfort navigating ambiguity and scaling fast-moving environments.
  • Passion for creating inclusive, equitable people practices that reflect Grindr's mission and community

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in organizations with established scale and cultural complexity, where you've navigated nuanced stakeholder dynamics and diverse working styles.

  • Design, deliver, and coordinate manager enablement and training programs focused on people leadership, feedback, and development.
  • Partner with managers to strengthen leadership capability, navigate tough conversations, and support team engagement.
  • Champion adoption of career ladders by coaching managers and employees on goal setting, performance alignment, and development conversations.
  • Connect performance frameworks to ongoing growth and mobility discussions.
  • Lead policy design, updates, and change management in collaboration with Legal, People Ops, and subject matter experts.
  • Project manage rollout plans to ensure clarity, adoption, and alignment across teams.
  • Partner with leaders on team effectiveness initiatives, engagement survey follow-ups, and culture-building efforts.
  • Identify and advise on trends across the org to help improve inclusion, belonging, and employee experience.
