About The Position

We are seeking a Senior People Data Scientist to deliver HR reporting through Oracle HCM and advanced analytics and insights by leveraging the enterprise Databricks platform. This role will focus on extracting HR data from Oracle HCM and other systems (payroll, engagement, cases, etc.), performing analysis and modeling within Databricks, and publishing curated datasets and dashboards in Power BI. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in SQL, Python, and Databricks with deep understanding of HR data and business priorities.

Requirements

Technical Expertise Strong proficiency in Oracle HCM reporting and SQL.
Expert in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, ML workflows).
Strong Python and SQL for analytics and modeling.
Advanced Power BI skills for visualization and dashboarding.
Experience with Oracle HCM reporting and HR data structures.
Familiarity with HR metrics and KPIs.
HR Data Experience Proven track record as a technical expert with the ability to execute an analytics strategy evolving basic HR reporting to modern business intelligence.
Familiarity with HR metrics and KPIs (headcount, attrition, talent indicators, etc.).
Data Governance Experience implementing governance processes for data masking, security, and compliance controls for sensitive data.
Understanding of privacy regulations and best practices for PII handling.
Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, IT, and Data Governance teams.
Minimum Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university with a major in computer science, data science, information systems, statistics, mathematics or related field
5+ years experience in HR Data Analytics or similar roles

Responsibilities

HR Data Reporting & Analysis Develop and maintain custom reports in Oracle HCM using SQL to support HR operations and analytics.
Write advanced SQL queries to extract and transform HR data from Oracle tables.
Analyze HR datasets for workforce insights (headcount, attrition, recruiting, talent & succession planning, engagement, team performance).
Ensure accuracy and consistency of HR data across systems.
Analytics & Visualization Perform advanced analytics and modeling in Databricks using Python and SQL.
Leverage Databricks notebooks for data exploration, transformation, and machine learning.
Publish curated datasets from Databricks to BI tools (Power BI) for HR scorecards and executive reporting.
Apply Python and statistical techniques for predictive modeling (e.g., attrition forecasting, workforce planning).
Use Databricks ML and Delta Lake for scalable analytics Identify trends and deliver actionable insights to HR leadership.
Partner with HR leaders to translate business questions into data requirements.
Work closely with Data Engineering and Platform teams to ensure HR data is clean, standardized, and accessible.
Document processes and create user-friendly guides for HR stakeholders.
Understand and apply PII masking and compliance requirements for HR data.
Ensure adherence to privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and internal security standards.
Collaboration & Enablement Partner with HR leaders to translate business questions into data requirements.
