About The Position

Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. JetZero is developing a blended-wing body (BWB) aircraft. It uses up to 50% less fuel and will be built to accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel. We are experienced aerospace professionals and engineers, excited about the future. That future will only be possible if we share our vision and what it means to people’s lives: carbon-free flight that' is better for both passengers and airlines around the world. We are seeking a Senior People Business Partner (PBP) to join our People & Culture team. Based in Greensboro, NC or Long Beach, CA, this role will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that enable JetZero to achieve its ambitious goals. The Senior PBP will partner closely with leadership, managers, and employees to foster engagement, strengthen organizational capability, and ensure JetZero remains a great place to work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR/People experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or strategic HR leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment law.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or high-growth technology industries a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultant and advisor to senior leaders, aligning people strategy with business priorities.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, talent management, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Act as a trusted resource for managers and employees on complex employee relations matters.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen culture, employee experience, and retention.
  • Partner with leaders to identify talent needs and support career development, performance management, and leadership capability.
  • Coach managers on building high-performing, inclusive teams.
  • Support organizational transformation and change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption and strong communication.
  • Champion JetZero’s values and ensure they are embedded in people processes.
  • Collaborate with People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Development to deliver seamless people programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
