About the position
We are seeking a hands-on Senior People Business Partner to join our Blacklane People & Culture team. In this role, you will collaborate with leaders and people managers in the Business (Product and Engineering) department, building strong relationships and providing compassionate coaching. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing people initiatives at various levels, solving complex problems, facilitating discussions, and continuously improving our People & Culture processes. Additionally, you should have a strong background in HR, be data-driven, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for technology and the travel industry.
Responsibilities
- Be a trusted advisor to leaders and people managers in Business (Product and Engineering)
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders in the business and influence through compassionate and contextualized coaching
- Act with a sense of urgency and adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Define, develop, and implement people initiatives at team, department, and company level
- Understand the talent needs of the business units and adjust people strategies accordingly
- Solve complex problems and seek internal and external resources when problem-solving
- Analyze trends and metrics to design and implement solutions
- Facilitate discussions and foster constructive debate within business units
- Continuously assess the people's experience and provide data to improve People & Culture processes
- Collaborate with other P&C teams to create a seamless employee journey
- Have a strong background in HR with experience in organizational design, talent management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and change management
- Be self-motivated, a strong problem-solver, and have excellent people skills
- Use metrics and data to approach challenges and turn insights into actionable solutions
- Demonstrate excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Have great communication skills and proficiency in English and German
- Stay up to date with global HR trends and try out new approaches
- Have a deep passion for technology, the travel industry, and Blacklane's products and services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of solid experience in a people business partnering role within large scale ups or corporate organizations
- Versatile competencies in organizational design, talent management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and change management
- Exposure globally and ability to partner with people and leaders across global hubs (Germany, APAC, EMEA, and Americas)
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with data analysis and using metrics to approach challenges
- Excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at various levels
- Proficiency in English and German
- Stay up to date with global HR trends and ability to try out new approaches
- Passion for technology, the travel industry, and ground transportation space
