Requirements

  • Must be proficient in use of MS Office applications.
  • Must have experience with Excel.
  • Fundamental accounting knowledge required.
  • Must have prior payroll processing experience with an integrated ERP or HCM system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • Three-five years of experience with payroll processing and reporting in an environment with greater than 250 employees.
  • Experience with Dayforce payroll HCM (human capital management) service or similar service such as ADP, Paylocity, etc.
  • Experience with general ledger ERPs such as Oracle, SAP, or similar.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent Excel skills required.
  • Accomplishments and responsibilities within a team environment.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Must possess strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the manufacturing industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation, coordination and administration of weekly and monthly payroll.
  • Process hourly (weekly) and salary (monthly) payrolls.
  • Process monthly, quarterly and yearly payroll tax returns. Prepare year-end W-2’s and tie out to 941’s and state returns.
  • Prepare month end journal entries for all payroll related transactions and responsible for reconciling those general ledger accounts.
  • Responsible for calculation and processing of year-end fringe benefits, including but not limited to: relocation, education, housing, leagues, and raffles.
  • Responsible for all government & state report filings relating to payroll.
  • Prepare compensation schedules for workers’ compensation renewals and audit.
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules relating to payroll.
  • Assist with other corporate accounting processes such as month end journal entries, Pcard statement review, Barn accounting, and the 1099 vendor year-end review.
  • Perform other functions as assigned.
  • Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Inform your supervisor about problems that occur.
