Diamond Foundry has an open position for a skilled Sr. Payroll Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role will contribute to the overall growth and support the expanding infrastructure of the global organization and be an integral part of the operational and financial process. The ideal candidate is a team player with a solid foundation in payroll accounting and will also assist with other areas of accounting as needed. This person possesses strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and will have a direct & daily impact on financial transactions and operations.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Four or more years of accounting experience, and strong knowledge in payroll accounting. Global payroll is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with accounting software and online platforms. NetSuite and Rippling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll processing and expense reimbursement for multiple entities and pay cycles, partnering with finance and HR to ensure the accuracy of deductions, taxes, 401K, and allocation.
  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries, along with audits (not limited to but includes 401K and Financial).
  • Ensure that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contribute to enhancing internal systems and processes.
  • Keep appraised of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
