Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
- Experience in healthcare risk management, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning 3-5 years required
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and risk management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and assessment of potential risks within the hospital, including clinical, operational, and environmental factors.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant adverse events or near misses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance patient safety.
- Collaborate with legal and insurance teams to manage and monitor the progress of insurance claims and litigation related to patient safety incidents.
- Provide education and training to hospital staff on risk management principles, incident reporting, and patient safety.
- Collaborate with emergency preparedness teams to assess and mitigate risks related to disaster and emergency situations.
