Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required
  • Experience in healthcare risk management, with a focus on leadership and strategic planning 3-5 years required
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and risk management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and assessment of potential risks within the hospital, including clinical, operational, and environmental factors.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis investigations for significant adverse events or near misses.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and enhance patient safety.
  • Collaborate with legal and insurance teams to manage and monitor the progress of insurance claims and litigation related to patient safety incidents.
  • Provide education and training to hospital staff on risk management principles, incident reporting, and patient safety.
  • Collaborate with emergency preparedness teams to assess and mitigate risks related to disaster and emergency situations.
