About The Position
Position Summary: The Equipment Pool Assistant supports hospital operations by managing patient care equipment. This includes receiving and fulfilling equipment requests, delivering items throughout the hospital, and tracking both owned and rental equipment for inventory control, cleaning, setup, and basic repairs. The role also ensures crash carts and airway intubation boxes are properly processed and ready for use. Overall, the position focuses on maintaining appropriate inventory levels and delivering timely, professional customer service to support patient care.
Requirements
- Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment, with the ability to work overtime and dictated by patient care demands
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience as a Patient Escort or an Equipment Pool Assistant, in a patient care/hospital setting
