About The Position

The position is within the Day Rehab department at Ascension Alexian Brothers, located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This is a full-time role with day shifts, offering a salary range of $17.31 to $25.09 per hour. The role involves communicating with patients, participants, and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures, performing clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration, and providing support as a resource for others. Responsibilities include gathering necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients, scheduling procedures efficiently, coordinating schedules, assisting with insurance pre-certification, and providing counseling regarding pre-service requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, participants, and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures.
• Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
• Gather necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information from patients and enter it into the appropriate database.
• Seek appropriate resources to resolve issues about the type, date, or location of prescribed procedures.
• Schedule patient procedures in a manner that most efficiently utilizes the patient's time and clinical resources.
• Coordinate and communicate schedules.
• Assist with coordination of activities related to insurance pre-certification/authorization.
• Provide counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
