About The Position
The Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation Southern Region Parks Division seeks an experienced Athletic Field Technician (Senior/Parks Facilities Maintenance Worker) to perform skilled park maintenance work involving moderate responsibility, complexity, and variety. The successful candidate will perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as turf maintenance, athletic field maintenance, and snow removal by working in a team environment and occasionally leading small groups of career and/or intermittent employees. The ideal candidate should possess skills to operate trucks, tractors with attachments, large riding mowers, loaders, forklifts, and other such equipment. The workdays are scheduled for Sunday-Thursday, however, work schedules may change to Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday to best fit the work program. The work hours are generally 6:00am-2:45pm but may also vary depending on your assignment.
