About The Position

The reporting location is 200 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs, CA. Under the general direction of the District Superintendent, the Senior Park and Recreation Specialist (SPRS) is responsible for planning, organization and review of work produced by a multi-disciplinary team composed of the District Interpretive Specialist, Interpreters and the Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students also known as PORTS. In addition, the SPRS is responsible for oversight of major District program administration including defensive planning, park and recreation planning, project design, environmental review and interpretation. The SPRS personally performs some of the most difficult and highly sensitive work assigned to the team. The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment. This position is designated as not telework eligible. Training and Development Assignments may be considered. Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver's license on your application. Special Requirement/Condition of Employment: Depending on the assigned location, the incumbent may be required to occupy state-owned housing to meet operational needs, or may be offered state-owned housing if available. Housing assignments will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license is required
