We are hiring an experienced paralegal with a primary focus on preparing, reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements, and various sales, services and other contracts including corporate compliance, corporate governance and international business. The position sits in the company’s legal department but will have direct contact supporting most company departments and our international subsidiaries. This job is based at our Ipswich, MA headquarters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BSc) required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, or equivalent knowledge through relevant work experience.
  • Prior experience as a Paralegal or Contracts Specialist; Senior Contracts Specialist experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret contract scope, terms, and the impact of contractual obligations on the company’s financial performance.
  • Demonstrated creative problem‑solving skills and experience in process improvement.
  • Competence in corporate compliance functions.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, negotiate, and administer various legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, and other commercial agreements.
  • Evaluate, manage and monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, in-house attorneys, customers, distributors, and vendors to negotiate contracts and memorialize business objectives.
  • Assist in projects concerning corporate compliance, corporate governance, and international business.
