Requirements

  • Paralegal Certificate, degree in Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of progressively responsible paralegal or legal administrative experience
  • At least 2 years of experience supporting an in-house legal department or law firm
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, documentation, and corporate legal processes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with contract management systems, legal document management platforms, or e-billing software
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, proofreading, and finalizing complex legal and corporate documents, including contracts, memoranda, resolutions, and formal correspondence
  • Managing and maintaining legal files, databases, and contract repositories
  • Coordinating contract review and approval processes and maintaining detailed status reports
  • Supporting corporate governance activities, including subsidiary records, annual filings, and board or committee materials
  • Monitoring and tracking critical deadlines such as contract renewals, compliance filings, and litigation or regulatory timelines
  • Managing attorney calendars, meetings, and travel; coordinating cross-departmental and executive meetings
  • Processing invoices, tracking legal spend, and assisting with billing matters related to outside counsel
  • Preparing presentations, reports, and dashboards summarizing legal department activity and key metrics
  • Assisting with compliance, audit, and risk management initiatives
  • Handling highly sensitive legal and business information with discretion and professionalism
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys or legal support staff, as needed
