About The Position

As a Senior Paralegal, you’ll manage a legal support team while maintaining a workers compensation caseload from initiation through resolution. This also includes overseeing case progress, drafting and revising pleadings and discovery, coordinating filings and schedules, conducting legal research, and facilitating communication among clients, attorneys, and stakeholders to ensure compliance and trial readiness.

Requirements

5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or Equivalent combination of professional experience, education, or certification.
Proven ability to manage a caseload while leading a legal support team, ensuring performance, collaboration, and compliance with legal standards.
Strong leadership skills, with experience delegating tasks, providing feedback, and fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing communication with professionalism and empathy to support case development and client satisfaction.
Skilled in organizing evidence, maintaining detailed case files, and conducting legal research to support pleadings, motions, and trial preparation.
Strong legal writing abilities, including drafting and revising pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and professional legal correspondence.
Expertise with litigation procedures, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial documentation.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and proven ability to multitask effectively, ensuring accuracy across casework while managing multiple responsibilities.
Proficient in using case management software, legal research platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite to enhance workflow and team coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of paralegals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Coordinate workload distribution to ensure balanced caseloads and efficient case progression across the team.
Manage a docket of litigation cases from beginning to end, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys and team.
Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and disclosures in compliance with court rules and attorney case plans.
Communicate with clients, attorneys, experts, witnesses, adjusters, and opposing counsel to provide updates, gather information, and resolve issues.
Collect, review, and summarize depositions, exhibits, medical records, bills, and discovery materials to support case strategy and trial preparation.
Coordinate court filings, schedule depositions and hearings, interface with courts, and maintain litigation calendars and deadline summaries.
Conduct legal research on case law, procedural rules, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure compliance and support attorneys.
Utilize case management software to manage discovery, organize files, track case values, and document all work for accurate case files.
Collaborate with attorneys, firm administrator and other departments to improve workflows, enhance client service, and support strategic goals.
