Join the Digital Citizenship legal team as a Senior Paralegal, where you will provide critical support for complex legal matters involving privacy, technology, and data governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage specialized legal processes and collaborate with stakeholders to drive Walmart's responsible innovation strategy. As a Senior Paralegal, you'll work independently on a wide range of legal activities-from conducting legal research and drafting documents to supporting litigation and compliance initiatives. Your expertise will play a key role in shaping Walmart's digital future while upholding our highest standards of ethics, integrity, and inclusivity.

  • Manage end-to-end legal processes independently with minimal guidance.
  • Become an expert in Walmart's legal databases and technology tools, serving as the team lead for legal tech initiatives.
  • Conduct specialized legal research and analysis related to digital and data-related legal issues.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain legal documentation and files across various systems.
  • Draft legal correspondence, contracts, and process-related documentation in collaboration with attorneys.
  • Provide operational and strategic support for litigation, regulatory, and internal compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with outside counsel, witnesses, and internal experts for interviews, negotiations, and mediations.
  • Train paralegals, attorneys, and business stakeholders on legal processes and best practices.
  • Identify legal and operational risks, assess implications, and make recommendations to attorneys.
  • Support budget tracking and review legal invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Drive process improvements in legal workflows and knowledge management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal workflows and documentation.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills with attention to detail and confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including taking and summarizing meeting notes.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, and external counsel.
  • Knowledge of legal document drafting and review for compliance with laws and internal policies.
  • Understanding of privacy, intellectual property, and technology law is a plus.
  • Adaptability to handle competing demands in a dynamic legal environment.
  • Commitment to Walmart's culture of ethics, inclusion, and innovation.
  • A nationally recognized paralegal certification or an ABA accredited paralegal degree AND 2 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR 3 years' experience as a paralegal, legal analyst, or otherwise performing the responsibilities of a paralegal as defined by Walmart's job description OR a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Experience supporting digital technology, privacy, or emerging tech legal teams.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management and AI-related legal topics.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional training and contribute to standard operating procedure (SOP) development.
  • Prior experience with knowledge management systems or legal tech platforms.
  • A national recognized paralegal certification in a relevant specialty area of the law (for example, NALS, NALA)
  • Relevant specialty area of law in a law firm or corporate legal environment
