In this role, you will: Leads tactical technical packaging engineers to develop new product/package introductions/launches/initial commercialization, as well as product/process changes and rollovers. Evaluate packaging specifications according to the nature of the product, cost limitations, legal requirements, and the type of protection required. Understand and support Strategic Business Plans/Annual Operating Plans for the next 1–5 years and provides technical direction/input to business plan development. Be recognized as a packaging subject matter expert and consultant for the category on cross-functional and multi-level teams for a wide range of package projects. Understand the consumer, customer and competitive environment to ensure consistency and alignment with brand equity to drive category growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or Related degree.
• 8+ years of packaging engineering experience, preferable in the consumer products industry.
• Advanced knowledge of packaging development, processes, and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead manage, and execute multiple, complex projects and influence decisions across multiple functions and levels.
• Ability to conceptualize ideas and transform into packaging structures and specifications, including knowledge & experience with testing procedures.
• Ability to develop a packaging strategy and vision.
• Working knowledge Kimberly-Clark packaging materials, specifications, procedures, and equipment experience, preferred.
• Experience working within the diaper and/or garments categories, preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the work time if required.
