About The Position

Mesa is seeking a Protection and Controls (P&C) Senior Engineer with 8+ years of experience working in the power utility industry. The successful candidate should be familiar with all major protection and control schemes associated with Power Substations P&C design as well as drawing package processes. This role is for someone wanting to pursue a technical path and not management.

Requirements

• 8+ years experience in substation/utility design.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Licensed professional engineer is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilize MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam to create/check assigned deliverables
• Meet customer’s schedule and budget requirements
• Perform Protection & Control design/check with high degree of accuracy
• Perform project scoping activities
• Perform careful self-checking activities to ensure the quality of work
• Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as needed
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
