About The Position

As a Senior Outside Sales Representative , you will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by engaging with retailers and promoting our products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years prior sales experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and sales skills with the ability to work effectively with team members, peers, management and external customer contacts
  • Basic Office (Outlook, Excel) functionality comprehension required and proficient in managing Outlook e-mail and calendar, as well as Excel basic workbooks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of the assigned principals’ business (division and/or geographic), within designated “independent customer accounts”.
  • Make sales calls on assigned independent customers to sell in new items, displays, and ads for the client.
  • Deliver principals’ objectives to include volume and sales fundamentals (new points of distribution, merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving) goals at the assigned customers.
  • Call on decision-makers at the customer to sell joint business plans, programs and concepts for the client.
  • Call on headquarters, supervisors and other customer operations personnel for independent customers.
  • Pro-actively communicate with the client.
  • Collaborate with Retail Sales Managers/RBMs on major retail initiatives you have sold in at HQ.
  • Provide timely information of selling priorities to Retail Sales Managers/RBMs.
  • Make store calls as needed.
  • Utilize computer systems and technology to achieve the objectives of the Customer Business Plan.
  • Develop and maintain skill levels to support the use of Acosta communication systems
