About The Position
YouTube TV is an over-the-top (OTT) streaming service that brings live TV and video-on-demand over the internet to your phone, tablet, computer, or smart TV. It complements YouTube's core Ad-supported Video-on-Demand (AVOD) model to add live sports, news, and local and premium content at a price cheaper than traditional cable. YouTube has also launched Primetime Channels, NFL Sunday Ticket, and continues to expand internationally. The OTT Engineering team's mission is to deliver a future-proof video streaming platform, by building and integrating tools and services to support the most reliable and resilient signal acquisition, workflow optimization, and highest quality media delivery. In this role, you will partner closely with content providers, network engineering and software engineering teams. You will manage vendor engagements and work cross-functionally across YouTube with various technical and business teams. You will be supporting all aspects of OTT focused on content ingestion and processing, with the goal of building the next iteration of YouTube's OTT ingestion infrastructure.
