We Are: Accenture's Industry X practice works at the intersection of operational technology and digital transformation. We help manufacturers modernize their plant floor systems, connect their OT and IT environments, and unlock value from the data their operations already generate. Our teams work directly in production facilities alongside controls engineers, plant managers, and IT leadership to design and deliver solutions that improve throughput, reduce downtime, and build the digital infrastructure that modern manufacturing requires. This isn't strategy from a slide deck. It's architecture and implementation in live production environments. Looking to be part of a transformational digital engineering and manufacturing practice? How about an opportunity to help world-class clients solve their biggest challenges and create products and services that customers love - quickly, efficiently and sustainably? Industry X combines Accenture’s powerful digital capabilities with deep engineering and manufacturing expertise. We use the power of data and digital to help our clients reimagine the products they make, and how they make them. By connecting engineering and manufacturing operations every step of the way - from how products are designed and engineered, sourced and supplied, manufactured, to how they are serviced and renewed, we help them achieve greater productivity, drive growth and meet their sustainability commitments. Find out more about Industry X. You Are: A hands on technical architect who has spent real time on plant floors and in control rooms. You're fluent in the language of OT, from PLCs and SCADA to MES and historian systems, and equally comfortable navigating legacy protocols like Modbus, PROFINET, and OPC UA as you are designing modern edge to cloud integration architectures. You understand how data flows across ISA 95 levels, and you've solved the hard problems that come with brownfield environments: aging infrastructure, proprietary systems, and the organizational divide between IT and OT. You know how to translate business requirements into technical architectures that actually work in production, and you've done it more than once. You communicate clearly with plant engineers, IT teams, and executive stakeholders alike, not because you're a "visionary," but because you've built the credibility that comes from delivering real solutions in real facilities. The Work: Assess clients' current manufacturing technology landscapes, including MES, SCADA, PLC, DCS, and historian systems, and define target state architectures that bridge OT and IT Design integration architectures across ISA 95 levels, addressing connectivity from the shop floor through the enterprise, including edge, on premise, and cloud components Build digital manufacturing roadmaps grounded in technical feasibility, sequencing investments against operational constraints like production uptime, legacy system dependencies, and cybersecurity requirements Translate plant floor operational needs into solution designs that engineering, IT, and business stakeholders can align on Develop business cases that quantify the value of manufacturing technology modernization, including OEE improvement, quality gains, and reduced unplanned downtime Lead small delivery teams through full lifecycle implementation, from requirements and design through commissioning and hypercare in live production environments Serve as the technical authority on engagements, guiding clients through vendor selection, platform decisions, and build vs. buy tradeoffs
