This position will primarily support the Oracle database platform. Senior Database Administrators are expert level contributors within our Data Management organization. A Senior DBA is an expert with strong previous experience across the database and deep working knowledge of the entire IT stack. They have a key role in setting and implementing the enterprise technology direction for the Oracle database platform. As such, they are expected to resolve highly difficult problems and support complex project implementations. They have an essential role in the overall Data Strategy at HCA Healthcare and support mission critical applications across the enterprise. As a Senior DBA, you will have the opportunity to grow and leverage your technical skills in database architecture, design, administration, engineering and tuning to manage our database environments. A Senior DBA will work with other database administrators, system reliability engineers, technicians, business analysts, and business owners to implement solutions that improve database reliability for end-users. Senior DBAs are expected to have a great deal of prior knowledge and experience, and will need to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a team-oriented environment. While in this position, they are expected to showcase experience in the design, development, maintenance, and administration of the database platform.
