About The Position

The Sr. Optimization Strategist at Mayo Clinic is responsible for leading experimentation strategies and activities across the organization's websites and mobile applications. This role focuses on analyzing complex data to make informed, data-driven decisions aimed at optimizing customer journeys, enhancing user engagement, and improving conversion rates. The strategist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute A/B and multivariate tests, while also communicating results and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Statistics or other degree.
  • 5+ years of optimization, digital marketing, conversion rate optimization, digital/web analytics experience with a demonstrated track record of improving conversion rates.
  • Experience with behavior and segment-based targeting methodologies.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, Google Analytics, Maximyzer, Optimizely and heatmapping tools.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to own/manage complex analyses end to end.
  • Understanding digital web and mobile app channels.
  • Experience with debugging tools and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience working with CMS environments such as Sitecore and WordPress.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administration.
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively deliver presentations as well as communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
  • Must exhibit strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to leadership audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • CRO certification a plus.
  • In-depth experience with testing and reporting tools and delivering business intelligence solutions.
  • Experience with TMS technologies (Ensighten, Tealium, Google Tag Manager, a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Lead experimentation strategies and activities for Mayo Clinic's websites and mobile apps.
  • Analyze complex data to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Optimize customer journeys, increase user engagement, and improve conversion rates and page performance.
  • Develop roadmaps and execute A/B and multivariate tests in collaboration with cross-functional experts.
  • Create test plans, define hypotheses, document test goals, and identify test details.
  • Estimate test feasibility and timeframes, monitor, and analyze test data, including conversion rates for key customer segments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on personalization and behavioral targeting strategies.
  • Effectively communicate experimentation results and recommendations to leadership, committees, and teams.
  • Stay updated on new experimentation tools, applications, and industry trends.
