About The Position

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as an Operations Analyst Principal at GDIT. You’ll apply the latest technology and provide operational support to deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community and for the Operational Force. As an Operations Analyst Principal you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on an Operations Analyst Principal/Senior Operations SME joining our team to augment our Higher Command Control Cell (HICOM). He or she will develop, refine, and update realistic exercise products and vignettes, and will role-play operational and tactical level Special Operations Force units during exercises. Most of our exercises will be Commander's Assessments, designed to assist a unit Commander to train and assess his/her staff, and other exercises will be External Evaluations (EXEVALs) conducted as part of unit pre-deployment activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Assignment to U.S. Army Special Operations Forces or equivalent assignments within other Department of Defense military branches
  • Graduate of U.S. Army Special Forces Qualifying Course or equivalent technical experience within other Department of Defense military branches
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), problem solving, and mission planning

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience researching, planning, preparing, coordinating, and executing Mission Readiness Exercises (MRXs)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and Collection Management (CM) training materials
  • Integrate and synch ISR products into exercise scenarios
  • Mentor trainees on ISR capabilities, processes, and employment
  • Execute ISR-related training scenarios during MRX
  • Brief leadership and exercise players on ISR capabilities, exercise execution, and lessons learned
  • Provide military subject matter expertise to the SOMTC program
  • Participate with other members of the Mission Command Exercise Branch team in exercise vignette development to address relevant staff Mission Essential Tasks (METs)
  • Review 'Lessons Learned' from previous exercises to identify and resolve training shortfalls
  • Work with fellow contractor employees who are former Special Forces, Civil Affairs, PSYOP, USAF CCT/TACP personnel and sister service veterans to identify and develop cross-functional team injects and vignettes
  • Ensure exercise scenarios encompass activities such as Cyber-Space-SOF planning, Multi-Domain Operations, Special Forces Operations, Intelligence, Psychological Operations, Civil Affairs, Logistics, Fires, Insurgency Forces, Future Operations, and interaction with other Government and non-government agencies
