What You Will Do Perform quality activities to support Quality Assurance Plans (IE: First Article Inspections/reports and checks on incoming and outgoing products). Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost and schedule performance, early engagement, influencing and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers. Use critical thinking resources and methods to improve product design; minimize inspection; resolve manufacturing defects/problems; complete such specialized quality functions as data preparation, analyses, and reporting including identification of new Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program Develop partnerships with program and production leaders, IPTs, and other functions to drive issue resolution and implement improved processes. Engage cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on top priorities to drive containment, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) implementation. Interpret requirements such as drawings and command media in compliance to work being performed. Engage and partner with Quality Control inspectors on quality alerts Perform product and process audits for compliance to various standards and product requirements. Act on all applicable material, product and equipment alerts to prevent impact to product reliability using the nonconformance and/or purge process. Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of relevant experience in quality engineering, or manufacturing engineering or operations engineering
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience reading and interpreting requirements/drawings and identifying deficiencies/defects.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, audits and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies, Process Improvement and streamlining.
  • Previous experience with PRISM and/or SAP or other manufacturing systems.
  • Experience in hardware inspections and inspection standards.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
