About The Position

EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. We deliver grid-scale power: wind (onshore and offshore), solar photovoltaic, and storage projects; distribution-scale power: solar and storage; asset optimization: technical, operational, and commercial expertise to maximize the performance of generating projects, and onsite solutions, through the Company's PowerFlex affiliate, offering a full suite of onsite energy solutions for commercial and industrial customers: solar, storage, EV charging, energy management systems, and microgrids. This position is responsible for the overall management of all maintenance and operations activities at specific renewable energy plant(s), ensuring compliance with all facilities' Operating Contracts, applicable permits, safety requirements, and laws. The role includes leadership in budgeting, supervision of employees, and communication with management teams, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or extensive Power Plant experience in Operations / Maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in electric power plant.
  • Advanced understanding of renewable power generation equipment and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience working with current renewable energy technologies is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in the use of personal computers and software applications such as Excel, Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex contractual issues as they relate to plant operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient, lawful, and cost effective management of all maintenance and operations activities of the plant(s).
  • Oversee the management, operations & maintenance, operations budgeting, and repairs of renewable energy assets.
  • Perform regular reviews of required paperwork or computer work to maintain safe and efficient operation of the plant(s).
  • Responsible for the general leadership and supervision, development, and professional growth of employees.
  • Interface with Asset Manager and centralized functions to improve communications and optimize operational and financial performance.
  • Lead a Continuous Improvement approach toward the business, analyzing and critiquing plant performance.
  • Maintain written and oral communications with all stakeholders.
  • Lead direct reporting employee's performance review quarterly and evaluate performance annually.
  • Other duties as assigned.
