The Senior Operations Manager role oversees multiple reconditioning lines within the Inspection & Reconditioning Center (IC). The position is responsible for ensuring necessary production metrics are consistently met, planning production for a full working shift, and fully managing facilities to meet or exceed targets in production, cost, and quality when the General Manager is not onsite. This role involves quickly identifying bottlenecks that affect site throughput and efficiency, conducting root cause analysis, developing action plans, and executing them with the site leadership team and associates. The manager will also conduct weekly site performance reviews with Senior Reconditioning leadership, reporting on performance versus targets, challenges, and countermeasures. They will guide daily site manager huddles to establish the day’s tone and priorities, and aid in the execution of Continuous Improvement projects at their home site and, if applicable, throughout the region/network, while implementing and training process changes. A key aspect is fostering growth and development in Reconditioning Lead and Manager populations by supporting Development Plans and providing regular competency-based feedback. The Senior Operations Manager is expected to embody Carvana values through effective leadership, teamwork, and communication on the shop floor, uphold Carvana operating standards and processes, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines. Relocation is required for this position after training.
