Summary: The Sr. Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of the battery manufacturing facility, responsibilities include production, supply chain, maintenance, EH&S, and facilities. This position will report into the General Manager. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting strategic growth initiatives in the aviation sector.

  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Effectively convert confirmed customer orders into cash, while consistently meeting or beating commitments to customers and the corporation in terms of schedule, performance, and COGS
  • Set strategic goals and KPI's for safety, operational efficiency, and increased productivity
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and sustainably improve operational execution/predictability in those areas that are deemed most critical to maximizing business growth & profitability
  • Drive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
  • Lead engineering initiatives to improve process efficiency and support capital projects
  • Ensure the factory floor is consistently clean, well-organized, and easily understood by those who work here and those who visit
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, and develop operations staff in ways that create maximum competitive advantage for the business
  • Be an effective member of the Battery Products management team
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
  • Seven (7) years related experience overseeing Operations in a Manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of 6S and lean manufacturing and experience implementing these principles
  • Experience with ERP systems, knowledge of Infor XA is a plus
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
