As a Senior Operations Manager for IDEXX's Greensboro, NC veterinary diagnostic reference laboratory, you will be a people leader at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. Requirements

• 5+ years experience overseeing or managing a large, fast-paced, high-volume work environment across multiple shifts.
• proven successful track record of managing a large team with a focus on employee performance, empowerment, and development skills.
• experienced change agent, preferably with Lean experience, and you have applied/implemented this experience in a Lean manufacturing/operations environment
• experience with multi-tiered leadership.
• adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and the operational challenges of a global company.
• developed and/or implemented strategies in place for keeping frontline employees engaged.
• excel at organizing, prioritizing and directing work activities.
• track record of successful project management skills and abilities.
• strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to effectively present information to various audiences including senior management and those who report to you.
• proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Tableau, and other PC applications and are comfortable with high computer use.
• potential exposure to biohazards, agents known to cause zoonotic diseases, and hazardous chemicals.

Nice To Haves

• having a bachelor’s degree in a science or related (business) field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• managing teams, including direct Manager and Supervisor reports
• oversee all areas of a Veterinary Diagnostic Lab
• create and manage budgets
• manage and deliver key operating metrics to successfully drive Quality, delivery of productivity results, Financial success and Safety across the lab
