Requirements

• Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

Nice To Haves

• Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence background preferred.
• Prior site leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with inventory practices, production processes, quality control, costs, process improvement, and other lean techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of operations.
• Experience/certifications with the implementation of Lean/Six sigma initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and help oversee all plant operations, including production, and workforce management.
• Manage and ensure all quality-related aspects are completed and documented to meet established quality standards.
• Lead SIOP cycles to meet planned financial commitments and optimize inventory management processes.
• Support manufacturing and transition build plans for NPIs, ensuring smooth and successful transitions.
• Lead Tier management meetings and Gemba/walkabout review processes to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive cost reduction efforts and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead scheduling and sequencing of work to ensure adherence to production schedules and optimal resource utilization.
• Head materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
• Establish performance objectives and lead manufacturing site performance and productivity initiatives.
• Lead/Support production innovation initiatives, to enhance production capabilities and drive competitive advantage.
• Partner with customers to understand their needs and issues, ensuring the delivery of satisfactory service standards.
• Lead/Support make-to-make and make-to-buy or buy-to-make work transfer efforts as necessary to optimize operations.
• Coach, mentor, and develop leaders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and succession planning within the team.
