About The Position

Working at our Clearwater Location Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers. Role Overview The Original Equipment (OE) Operations Manager leads and supports daily plant operations for the Clearwater business. The role is responsible for leading Original Equipment personnel and coordination of day-to-day commercial and military production work, along with providing overall departmental leadership as a key team member of the site staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in manufacturing and/or production)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience directly leading people in a manufacturing and/or production environment

Responsibilities

• Manage the Original Equipment business in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Ensure continuous business improvement according to site benchmarks and standards.
• Team management of salaried employees, which includes production supervisors who lead hourly employees.
• Lead activities to promote manufacturing improvements and cost reduction to further develop Clearwater as an Electronics Center of Excellence.
• Lead measurement standardization and systemic change management to support Clearwater site KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and problem-solving processes, including root cause corrective action.
• Establish control plans, daily standard work, and visual management around KPIs in the shop.
• Engage in Plant Leader staff meetings and report repair strategy.
• Participate in internal capacity/growth planning activities.
• Present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders across GE Aerospace.
• Communicate recommendations and solutions across the organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.
