About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team. This individual will be the owner of a process/product roadmap and ensuring delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery station. This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands-on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs. To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations and Safety to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • 6+ years of industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing equipment development experience
  • Experience in program or project management including the delivery of cross-functional projects
  • Experience using one or more of the following CAD technologies: AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, SolidWorks, CREO, BIM360, SketchUp or KeyShot

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
  • Experience within a distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project and Outlook
  • Experience designing complex systems for automation in logistics or manufacturing, or experience with product development in automotive, aerospace, automation equipment or related field
  • Experience in leading large-scale, technical or engineering programs with a proven record of thought leadership, business case development, realizing customer benefits, and successful program completion

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Work closely with a partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.
  • 30% travel based on business needs
