About The Position

Rising Generation is seeking a Senior Operations Associate to support the day-to-day functioning and operations of a small, entrepreneurial founding team. This role will play a critical enabling function - helping the team work effectively across priorities, systems, and relationships, while building the operational backbone that allows the initiative to learn, adapt, and grow. The Senior Operations Associate will work closely with each of Rising Generation’s three core strategy areas identified above and will collaborate extensively across Teach For All’s internal systems, teams, and platforms. This role is ideal for a strong executor and relationship-builder who is excited to help translate ambitious ideas into action. The Senior Operations Associate will report to the Head of University Community & Learning, who will serve as the technical line manager for the role.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in mission-driven, nonprofit, or social impact organizations
  • Very strong project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments
  • Comfort working in a new and evolving environment, with the ability to organize work, support flexible and collaborative ways of working, and adapt priorities as the team and initiative take shape
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and communicate clearly and effectively across teams and functions
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and facilitating coordination across differences in role, background, and perspective

Responsibilities

  • Lead operational strategy and execution for Rising Generation, with end-to-end responsibility for designing, evolving, and overseeing the systems, processes, and resources that enable the initiative to deliver on its strategic priorities. This includes setting operational direction; managing administrative infrastructure; designing and managing budgets and financial processes in partnership with Teach For All’s finances teams; leading in the implementation of AI pilots; and ensuring high-quality execution across in-person and virtual events, convenings, and learning spaces.
  • Own cross-team coordination and systems alignment across Rising Generation and the broader Teach For All ecosystem by serving as a strategic partner to Rising Generation’s three strategy leads (Data, Research, & Strategy; University Community & Learning; and Public Purpose Pathways). This includes proactively identifying gaps, redundancies, and opportunities across strategies; designing shared systems and ways of working; auditing existing resources and proposing updates to meet the initiative’s needs; aligning stakeholders across functions; and driving adoption of common tools, processes, and metrics including by utilizing AI tools. The role acts as a central integrator, influencing priorities and decisions across operations, finance, people, communications, technology, and development.
  • Steward the execution of Rising Generation’s communications and storytelling infrastructure in close partnership with Teach For All communications, media, branding, and development teams. This includes shaping narratives and materials in support of strategic priorities; the development of decks, briefs, and pitches; ensuring coherence and quality across external-facing communications; creating visualizations to reflect team progress for different audiences; and guiding the effective use of digital and social platforms to advance our narrative work.
  • Manage the operations for the Rising Generation Collective, including owning communications, data, and membership systems, and ensuring a high-quality experience across all in-person and virtual touchpoints.
  • Contribute to experimentation and action in the U.S. by supporting key strategies for several of the interconnected priorities listed above. This may include engaging with external stakeholders and translating learning from the field into refinements to strategy and systems.
