About The Position

The role of the Senior Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Analyst in Airbnb's Global Safety & Security department is to gather intelligence and conduct analysis to support safety and security’s threat mitigation efforts in support of the company's interests, executive staff, and employees. The Senior OSINT Analyst will provide mentorship and technical expertise/guidance to junior analysts, and deliver timely, accurate information to decision-makers, enabling them to make informed choices to safeguard our assets, personnel, and reputation. This role requires extensive experience in conducting OSINT investigations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work non-traditional hours.

Requirements

Must be able to legally work in the country where this position is located without visa sponsorship.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work include days, evenings, and weekends. This position is assigned shifts on a rotational basis as part of a 24/7 team.
This position requires up to 10% travel
5-7 years of related experience providing intelligence or risk analysis using open-source intelligence tools and investigative techniques
Proven ability to be an outstanding colleague in a collaborative setting
Comfortable with changing requirements and priorities
Experience working with the identification and analysis of threats made by POIs
Able to proactively communicate status and identify risks
Experience leveraging technological resources for research and analysis
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Experience working with highly confidential information
Experience working with diverse partners
Master’s Degree in political science, international affairs, economics, business, or related field or equivalent experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Exhibits problem-solving skills and assesses concerns for more complex challenges, suggesting and implementing solutions with guidance and support from managers. Senior Analysts execute known responsibilities with limited oversight, work independently, and self-correct based on prior Program Manager feedback.
Exhibits an understanding of Airbnb Intel customer needs and priorities (business practices, culture, and intelligence needs); also demonstrates strong subject-matter expertise and is the primary source for specialized analysis, where applicable.
Accept responsibility for the development and execution of unstructured projects with some guidance and feedback from managers, and act as a resource for the duration of the project.
Use existing procedures to solve problems; support development of procedures when needed. First-draft products produced by Senior Analysts are polished and require only limited editing and restructuring.
Model best business practices, professional behavior, etc., and provide mentorship and peer-level support to all analysts.
Executes complex projects with minimal oversight, including the delegation of tasks, training of junior team members, and managing project and coverage schedules.
Responsible for coordinating inter-agency liaison meets and regional off-sites with minimal oversight from leadership (i.e., scheduling, topic discussions, room reservations, etc.)
Ensure quality control measures are to the highest standard to minimize case management errors.
Follow company procedures and processes as they relate to industry best practices and handling of confidential information
Develop and maintain strong relationships with other business partners to effectively support their needs
Flexible work schedule as part of a 24/7 team: able to work assigned shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
