Provides overall management responsibility for all data applications for the following NHCI departments - Oncology Quality, Oncology Support Services, and BMT Administration. Designs, supports, and maintains applications and users throughout the three departments. Acts as a liaison and evaluates and coordinates responses to inter- and intra-departmental data issues related to patient registries, clinical registries, and other similar platforms. Provides leadership in long-term planning and in the development of new products and technologies, including design and implementation of new applications and clinical databases. Coordinates other non-routine projects requiring high level of independent analysis. Performs complex modeling in order to meet ongoing needs of professional staff. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of best practices utilized in application design or upgrades in order to enable collection and reporting of accurate and usable data. Integrates needs of disparate users and maintains the logic and integrity of applications. Coordinates audit and data validation activities and is responsible for the security of all applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience in Information Technology OR Associates Degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field and seven years of experience in Information Technology OR ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Oracle, Access, SQL, and other relevant applications.
