About The Position

As a Senior Officer at United Overseas Bank Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in supporting departmental operations, ensuring compliance with established policies, and contributing to the efficient delivery of services. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a banking or financial services environment, with a proven track record of operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of banking products, services, and operational processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with relevant banking systems.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance and risk management.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee daily operational tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to bank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating complex matters to management when necessary.
  • Prepare and review reports, documentation, and data analysis to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in the implementation of new processes, systems, and initiatives, contributing to their successful integration and adoption.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior officers and support staff, fostering their development and ensuring a high standard of performance.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all internal controls, risk management frameworks, and relevant banking regulations.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
